Who We Are.
LFA was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in New York with an office in Washington D.C. We have operated in more than forty countries across six regions, working on issues that determine whether a state is secure, sovereign, and economically resilient. Where conventional firms describe events, we explain why they happen and what to do about them.
We understand that every sovereign decision is ultimately a human decision: a decision shaped by principals operating under specific worldviews, by coalitions forming and dissolving, and by informal channels that determine which directives are executed and which are quietly absorbed.

Our Platform
Our AI Model
Our proprietary AI tool is the core of what we offer. It runs in two modes. Internally, it powers our advisory service across every capability. Externally, we offer a Build-Operate-Transfer model, where we build the platform to order for each client to operate alongside their institutions. We then transfer full control and sovereignty to the client government, under U.S. export authorization. LFA remains available for servicing and updates.
LFA is registered under ITAR and complies fully with U.S. export-control law.

Open-Source Intelligence
Our AI platform continuously gathers and analyzes large volumes of publicly available data from diverse open sources to identify patterns, relationships, and potential threats, that would be difficult for humans to detect manually. We only gather lawfully available information, and we do not conduct any collection of private data, personal surveillance, or unauthorized access.
Independent Advice
We are not affiliated with any government, organization, or cause. Our advice is completely independent and objective, based on empirical data and an understanding of human dynamics. We do not lobby, supply or broker weapons, execute procurement, act as a foreign agent, or conduct clandestine intelligence.
Client Sovereignty
Client sovereignty is central to our operating model. Clients retain control over their data, deployment, and operational environment. Sensitive information is only shared internally with the analysts and consultants responsible for that client, and all data is handled according to national security, regulatory, and data sovereignty requirements.
Export Compliance
LFA is registered with the U.S. Department of State's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls under ITAR. Every transfer of controlled technology, software or technical data is conducted under the required licenses and end-user agreements, and remains subject to U.S. law for each destination and end user. LFA's transfers are limited to its own AI analytical capability and related training, servicing, and support.
Responsible AI
Our AI platform gathers and analyzes publicly available open source information. We do not collect clandestine intelligence, perform personal surveillance, or act as a foreign agent. Any controlled technology, software, or technical data transferred to a client under our Build-Operate-Transfer model is conducted under the required licenses, agreements, and end-user agreements stipulated by U.S. law for each destination and end user.
